Consistency is key

How is your baby doing with nighttime sleep? What does Baby’s current sleep environment look like? Remember the importance of having a consistent bedtime routine that provides a dark room, a safe sleep space, and some white noise. This consistency helps your baby to learn what to expect each night. Once your baby becomes more active with rolling or scooting, you may find you’re more concerned about their safety during sleep. Daytime play and exercise will help to strengthen rolling skills to help your baby’s movements during sleep. Continue to put your baby down to sleep on their backs for safety, but if you check on Baby and find them in a much different position after they’ve fallen asleep, they are fine to stay in that position as long as their sleep environment follows safe sleep guidelines.
