Baby social skills
Did you know that babies are born “hard-wired” to socialize? By about 6 weeks old, most newborns are able to make eye contact and can follow you with their eyes when you’re interacting with them. You can also begin to introduce small toys or objects to see if your little one follows the object as you move it in front of them. This is the beginning of “play” with your little one, and is probably just as much fun for you as it is for your baby. Try to show your baby different facial expressions like opening your mouth wide. Babies begin to imitate their caregivers at this age, so have fun making faces and seeing if your little one responds.
